AVON: AC6 Range

Brief Background to creative opportunity

Avon approached us with a view to creating a sub brand to sit within their existing AC6 range. The brief was to evoke the style of 50/60’s glamour - the film star era of Hollywood. This was to use existing brand colour set and introduction of minimal additional colourways.

We produced a number of working ideas using the Hollywood logo of above the Hollywood hills and added a filmstar based on icon of Marilyn Monroe in various dress and pose options.

Role ICP took in creative development

ICP took the brief and selected designs from within their pool of designers. Based on our intimate knowledge of other Avon products and printer capabilities, we were able to tailor the design to ensure that concept was achievable. ICP project managed the brief, selection process and continued final artwork through to production.

What we produced

The result was the Hollywood Collection that encompassed a number of products of differing size and shape. The final design featured a Hollywood logo and a glamourous female icon evocative of Marilyn, but with facial features adapted away from her. The figure was presented in a flowing fishtail train dress, bare shoulders and picked out red lipsticked lips. The design had simple line qualities and was developed to use the existing black printed carton and used the knock out to white whilst only introducing one new colour to the existing brand set.
