Taxonomy Boot Camp 2023

We are delighted to participate in the Taxonomy Boot Camp 2023, on November 6 – 7, 2023 at JW Marriott in Washington, DC.
On Monday 6th November, at 1:00PM, Mary Katherine Barnes, Sr Manager, Managed Content Services at ICP will be running the session "Building Taxonomies: What a Difference Engagement Makes".
The session will compare and contrast two projects: one for a museum and archives and the other for a retail/ecommerce establishment where system-specific taxonomies and metadata schemas were developed. Hear how stakeholder engagement affected each project and their final deliverables. Learn about the creation process, current state analysis, feedback sessions, and lessons learned along the way for each of the two taxonomy projects, and best practices for maintaining and evolving taxonomies to ensure they stay relevant.
